- As a buyer or as a Seller, do not proceed with any transaction you are not comfortable with the terms given by the buyer or the seller.
- Do not share personal details such as bank account number, ATM Card Details, Copy of your ID, etc.
- Meet in an open location; highly risky places are not advisable.
- Keep copies of all correspondence (emails, ads, chats, letters, etc.) and contacts of the person.

 

BUYERS’ SAFETY TIPS
- Beware of unrealistic offers, goods that seem too cheap or job offers that appear too good to be true. 
- DO NOT send any pre-payments until you have met the seller and signed a purchase agreement.
- Use a safe and public location to meet the seller.
- Check the item(s) and all documentation to make sure they meet your needs.
- Pay only if you're satisfied and collect the item(s) instantly.

 

Sellers to Avoid
- The seller wants advance payment or initial deposit before sending you the item.
- The seller can’t meet you in a public place but wants to deliver the item personally.
- The seller asks for personal information like your ID, bank details, debit/credit card number.

 

SELLERS’ SAFETY TIPS
- Ensure you collect the full payment when delivering your goods.
- Ensure you deliver the exact product you listed in your ad(s).
- Only share the financial information required for payment.

 
Buyers to Avoid
- The buyer insists on using a cheque.
- The buyer demands you send the item before they pay for it.
- The buyer asks for personal information like your ID, bank details, debit/credit card number.
- The buyer is from a foreign country.
